I got my start in film effects in an effects shop in LA. I had gone on to add effects work into my regular freelance rotation for a while. Pictures were all somewhat uninteresting on their own, but I still felt it to be a part of my portfolio worth sharing. My solution to that is this, loving archival of The Effects Shop. An incredibly funny handful of failed television show pilots with the shop I first worked at as the topic, filmed far before my time. The Effects Shop took several months to hunt down, as the production company is long defunct.
